Wildflower honey is distinctly sweet and delicate, which makes it reminiscent of the taste of sugar syrup. It has an intense vegetable aftertaste and, on tasting, is reminiscent of fruit jellies or wild berry jam.

Recommendations for use

Wildflower is the ideal honey to spread on a slice of fresh bread or to use as a sweetener for hot drinks. We recommend that you try it together with meat or fish casserole, as well as on fresh fruit.

The animal

The Galapagos Tortoise is one of the longest-lived animal species in the world (it can live more than 150 years) and represents – in our imagination – the power of evolution and the persistence of nature.

Poaching and marine pollution are the biggest threats to its survival. Thousands die every year.

Fewer than 15,000 individuals are found in the wild.

The plant

Wildflower honey does not have a single place of production, but can be produced either in the mountains or in the hills and plains, where various types of flowers are found.

For this reason, depending on the area of harvest, it can have unique flavours and aromas, as well as properties. Wildflower honey will vary in its characteristics, depending on the nectar harvested. Production generally takes place from June to July.
